About The Festival
Brighten The Corners Festival is Ipswich’s premier live music celebration, known for its eclectic lineup, unique venues, and vibrant spirit. Now in its fifth year, the festival has evolved into a key tastemaking event that reflects the UK’s thriving music scene while championing Ipswich as an important cultural hub.
Brighten The Corners is a not for profit organisation based in Ipswich that runs a year-round programme of live music, an annual festival and education and training programmes. BTC promotes live music events across its three venues The Baths (300 capacity), St Stephens Church (200 capacity) and The Smokehouse (70 capacity), as well as hiring the spaces out to local promoters and artists.

The Smokehouse
Beloved 70 cap venue opened in 2016, providing a platform for touring artists and an affordable venue for regional artists and promoters.

St Stephen's Church
Live music venue, cafe/bar and record shop in the town centre. Opened in summer 2023 following extensive renovation works.

The Baths
The town’s much needed 300 cap dedicated venue, recently opened and going from strength to strength.

Corn Exchange
A historic venue which was the old civic hall with a capacity of 800-1000.

The Cornhill
Outdoor free to attend stage in the square in front of the Town Hall. Here you will find the best regional artists, food vendors and the Adnams truck.
