Since signing to Communion Records earlier this year, Esme Emerson have quickly asserted themselves as one of 2024’s hottest prospects. Expanding their dedicated fan base while on the road with Keane and The Japanese House, and releasing their first EP for the label Big Leap, No Faith, Small Chancer, which have seen them praised by key tastemakers within music and culture, including The Face, i-D, Dazed, The Telegraph, NME, Clash, and The Line of Best Fit.
For Esme and Emerson, kindness and sincerity is the core of everything. Growing up together in their Suffolk family home, the pair began writing songs together during Emerson’s final year at university and quickly realised how well their creative ideas aligned. They found comfort in their shared musical brain, and discovered a sense of joy reached via their combined creativity and vulnerability.
Reflecting over a year of growth as both artists and people, new EP Big Leap, No Faith, Small Chancer showcases their explorative balance of gentle melodies and electronic elements comparable to the likes of Big Thief and Slow Pulp, setting Esme Emerson up for a monumental year.
