Words & Verses - Ipswich Weekenders

  • St Stephens Church 1 St Stephens Ln England, IP1 1DP United Kingdom (map)

SoapBox is delighted to announce that we are holding a special pop-up, daytime, all-ages 'Words & Verses' spoken word open mic, at the lovely St Stephen's Church - as part of the Ipswich Weekender.

Saturday 23rd March, free entry, 12pm-3pm. Hosted by Amy Wragg.

Pop me an email if you'd like to perform some words. Poetry, rap comedy, storytelling - originals & covers - all words welcome. Sets are 5-10mins per person, and we equally welcome people coming along to read one poem, as we do those who want to perform a short set.

Please note, this is a 'family-friendly' event, so no adult language or content. This is an all-ages event, with kids and families much welcomed and expected, so please choose material that is appropriate.

All ages are welcome to take part in the open mic too! Please do share amongst young writers, and/or family members you know who might be keen to take part. Its always a friendly, fun & supportive environment to take the stage and share your words.

Pre-booking is now open, please email amy@getonthesoapbox.co.uk to book your slot.

This event is made possible thanks to funding from Ipswich Borough Council, and the kindness of the team behind St Stephen's, both of whom we are very grateful to for their belief & support.
